Rico's tips for hot summer days
Ahoy everyone!
This is pirate Rico! Are you planning to visit the PLAYMOBIL-FunPark in the next days? That's a great idea, because there are lots of water play areas waiting for you to cool off in the summer temperatures. Our many shady areas also offer you good protection from the sun.
As a true pirate, I naturally know best how to skilfully sail around the next heatwave. My tips for your FunPark visit will help you keep a cool head even on hot days:
- An early start: It's best to come to the FunPark in the morning when it's not yet so hot. We're open for you from 9 AM.
- Watch out for the sun! When playing outdoors, make sure you have enough sun cream or UV-protective clothing and a hat with you to protect you from the sun. If you have forgotten your sun cream or have used it up, you can buy a new one at the FunPark-Shop.
- Water: Sufficient water for all family members is vital on hot days. For extra refreshment in between, 0.5 litres of chilled water is available at the Pub, Café Bar and Pizza & Pasta areas for just €1.10 (plus deposit for the cup). You can also get refreshments at any time from our snack points and drinks machines. There is also a free drinking fountain at the Pirate Lake.
- Seek shade: At lunchtime, when the sun is particularly strong, it's a good idea to take a break from playing, e.g. at the HOB-Center. However, the FunPark also has many shady areas outside and awnings in places with high levels of sunlight.
- Swimwear and a change of clothes: One thing is certain when visiting our water attractions - swimwear is a must. Please also remember to bring a change of clothes. If everything does get wet, there are also tumble dryers in the park and you can hire towels and clothes from the shop if required.
If it's still too hot: An ice cream always helps! It is available at the following locations: ice cream boutique, crêpes stand, ice cream stand at the paddle lake (temporarily open), at the HOB-Center, at the FunPark-Shop and at our ice cream vending machines.
Our summer highlights for you
Do you already know our summer highlights? One of them is our ‘Mermaid Kingdom’: in the colourful coral world, you can splash around in the water, style the mermaids' long hair or dig and play in the sand. Our large water playground is also a paradise for all water fans. The various water channels invite you to experiment and splash around in the cool water. The more daring can take a boat trip on the paddle lake or board my big pirate ship on a raft. At Noah's Ark you can also sail various PLAYMOBIL ships and boats across the wide water channels.
