Bavarian Football Association honours U11 champion teams
Football and PLAYMOBIL simply go together - that should be clear since the campaign with the German Football Association this summer at the latest. But the links go far beyond that: At the beginning of this week, the Bavarian Football Association (BFV), Central Franconia district, held its sixth football action day at the PLAYMOBIL FunPark, where the U11 champions were honoured. The E-youth champion teams of the spring season as well as some G- and F-youth teams were invited.
To rapturous applause, the junior teams (U11) were honoured for their achievements on the big HOB-Center stage and collected their certificates from representatives of the BFV and FunPark mascot Pirate Rico. The families of the young athletes and many day guests watched the young football talents being honoured with excitement and were carried away by the celebratory atmosphere.
True to our FunPark motto "play and explore", the joy of being active together took centre stage throughout the day. In addition to the exciting championship ceremony, the children of the champion teams were able to spend an exciting day with their parents, siblings and friends and explore our XXL PLAYMOBIL adventure worlds.
In addition, the BFV had organised an action-packed activity programme together with the football teams of 1. FC Nürnberg and SpVgg Greuther Fürth: Young goal scorers could test their shooting power on a goal measurement system or try out the giant table football as a ‘human kicker’. Other activities, such as football golf and the mini football variant ‘FUNiño’, also encouraged players to kick the ball.
A special highlight: Players from local professional clubs also attended the event. Franziska Mai, Merita Gashi and Janni Serra (1. FC Nürnberg) as well as Reno Münz and Leander Popp (SpVgg Greuther Fürth) with mascot Eddy congratulated the winning teams and were available to sign autographs for fans afterwards.
‘We couldn't imagine a better event location than the PLAYMOBIL-FunPark in Zirndorf. We have a marvellous backdrop here with a large stage and the children love the attractions,’ says Uwe Mauckner, BFV District Chairman for Middle Franconia. ‘It's always great how professionally and straightforwardly we are welcomed and supported here’.
We are also looking forward to many more joint activities with the Bavarian Football Association to get kids interested in becoming active and enjoying sports, and to provide unforgettable family experiences.
